Questions, bug reports or feature ideas: write to support@passtree.app. Please include your iOS version and the app version (Settings → About). Never send passwords or private keys.

Getting started

  1. Tap Add Store and enter the URL of your pass Git repository (HTTPS or SSH).
  2. Choose how to authenticate with Git: an SSH key (generate one in the app and add the public key to your server) or an HTTPS token.
  3. Choose how to decrypt: import your OpenPGP private key, or use a YubiKey via NFC or USB-C.
  4. Enable AutoFill in iOS Settings → General → AutoFill & Passwords.

Frequently asked questions

Does the app send my passwords anywhere?
No. Entries are decrypted only on your device. The app talks only to your own Git server. See the privacy policy.

Which repositories work?
Any Git repository created with pass, including multiple stores and .gpg-id files in subfolders.

Can I add or edit entries?
Yes. New and changed entries are encrypted for all recipients in .gpg-id, committed and pushed. If the server has newer changes, the app syncs and shows any conflicts to resolve.

The YubiKey is not detected.
Hold the key to the top of the iPhone until the prompt confirms, or plug it in via USB-C. The OpenPGP applet must contain your decryption key.

Erste Schritte

  1. Tippe auf Store hinzufügen und gib die URL deines pass-Git-Repositorys ein (HTTPS oder SSH).
  2. Wähle die Git-Anmeldung: einen SSH-Schlüssel (in der App erzeugen und den öffentlichen Schlüssel beim Server hinterlegen) oder ein HTTPS-Token.
  3. Wähle die Entschlüsselung: privaten OpenPGP-Schlüssel importieren oder einen YubiKey über NFC oder USB-C verwenden.
  4. Aktiviere AutoFill in den iOS-Einstellungen → Allgemein → Automatisch ausfüllen & Passwörter.

Häufige Fragen

Schickt die App meine Passwörter irgendwohin?
Nein. Einträge werden nur auf deinem Gerät entschlüsselt. Die App spricht nur mit deinem eigenen Git-Server. Siehe Datenschutzerklärung.

Welche Repositorys funktionieren?
Jedes mit pass angelegte Git-Repository, auch mehrere Stores und .gpg-id-Dateien in Unterordnern.

Kann ich Einträge anlegen und ändern?
Ja. Neue und geänderte Einträge werden für alle Empfänger aus .gpg-id verschlüsselt, committet und gepusht. Liegen auf dem Server neuere Änderungen, synchronisiert die App und zeigt eventuelle Konflikte zum Auflösen an.

Der YubiKey wird nicht erkannt.
Halte den Schlüssel an die Oberkante des iPhones, bis die Meldung bestätigt, oder steck ihn per USB-C an. Das OpenPGP-Applet muss deinen Entschlüsselungsschlüssel enthalten.
